Lancaster House Hotel is situated adjacent to the campus of Lancaster University about 3.5 miles away from Lancaster city centre

Free parking is available at the hotel for all delegates.

Arriving by train

Lancaster station is on the main London to Glasgow line.

Taxis are available from outside the station.

The X1 bus service runs between the Railway Station and the University every 20 minutes and the hotel is about 5 minutes walk from the bus stop. 

Members of the FIL committee will be at the station between noon and 3pm to greet delegates and direct them to taxi ranks/ bus stops and at the university bus stop to provide directions to the hotel.

If you would like to share a taxi to the hotel with other delegates please wait with the committee member at the train station.

Departing by train

The final conference session is scheduled to finish at 12:30 and lunch will then be available with an anticipated conference finish time of 13:30. 

Please give yourself enough time to get from the hotel to the station, especially if you have booked a specific train!

If you plan to travel back to the station by bus please be aware that the bus stop is on the main university campus and buses take about 20 minutes to get to the station.
