Tim taught English and music for twenty five years before deciding on a career change towards librarianship.  For the last four years he has been the E-Resources and Interlending Administrator for the University of Derby.  Interlending activity at Derby currently runs at about eighteen hundred requests a year and, although this is not high in interlending terms, the increasing breadth of ILL activity is a ready challenge.   Tim is particularly interested in service development in the areas of electronic delivery, online requesting, podcasting and the reader interface. 

He is a regular cyclist and plays Big Band trombone.
